You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    • HCI - not a sexually transmitted infection (STI)

Traditionally HCI refers to Human-Computer Interaction*...but to me this is a limited view of the innovation possibilities within product design.

I believe we are moving away from product as material, and toward product as a hybrid of software/hardware (eg. iPhone). Software will eat the world...and we will become "Android". I am deeply intrigued by the thoughts of Bret Victor** and have pursued this kind of thinking to my own work.

What are the limitations of human interaction with product? How can we amplify human possibilities through great (and appropriate) product design? How can we leverage both cranial and physical human…

            • Launch Planning - what needs to be considered

The research has been done, the business case signed off and the product is nearing completion. Now all you have to do is launch it.
In this collaborative session we will build a sample launch checklist to cover all the things that should be checked off before the new product is released to the market.

              • Product Management and UX Design, same thing right?

The two disciplines seem to have come from two totally different camps, they each appear to have a separate purpose and mode of operation, illustrated in their role title i.e. Manager, and Designer. But are they really different at all?

Not every organisation has formalised product management in place or even thinks about certain services as a product. In this session, we will discuss what undercover product management can look like and the challenges and freedom that comes with doing it "undercover".

This topic is not about me preaching to you about any of my ideas or experiences it is to gather input from the masses and derive a best practice for Product Managers to engage with their sales channel (Direct or Indirect) to enable them to drive sales with the same passion and persistent of Product Managers.
                    Questions like:
                    - What is the role of Product Managers to elevate them to a higher level than being "Demo Donkeys"?
                    - What tools and formats have been productive in capturing the attention span of your sales team

My view of the topic is…

As a product management consulting service the Brainmates team would like to discuss the pros, cons and opportunities represented by outsourcing Product Management activities to a third party.
It may sound like shameless self-promotion for Brainmates but we like to think of it as an opportunity for market research.
